Legacy Tourism Group is working with the Wagmatcook First Nation in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to create a comprehensive tourism development strategy and business plan that incorporates current assets as well as determining the “sweet spot” for potential new developments.
Fall 2016 – John, Rod and Jim travelled back to Nova Scotia to begin the work on Phase II for the Wagmatcook First Nation tourism development project, which included site inspections and research. All three will return to Cape Breton in early December to present the findings to the Chief and Council and to discuss the next steps required to move the project forward. While there, they will investigate additional site locations for the proposed destination resort.
Spring 2016 – Wagmatcook First Nation, Cape Breton. LTG has completed work on the first phase of the tourism concept development work following John, Jim and Rod travelling to Nova Scotia for an on-site inspection from June 5 – 9, 2016. This trip included meetings with the Wagmatcook Nation leadership and elders for stakeholder discussions and pre-feasibility data collection. Phase II for detailed business planning of this project will begin soon.
