The Legacy Team is working closely with the Sambaa K’e First Nation in the Northwest Territories and their economic development corporation to complete a tourism feasibility report and concept plan to operationalize their commercial tourism vision for this small northern community.
Summer and Early Fall 2018 – After reviewing the Feasibility Report and Concept Plan for their territory, the Sambaa K’e First Nation Leadership and Economic Development Group asked Legacy to complete the detailed business planning work required to pursue the proposed tourism opportunity. Rod and Jim were in the territory in late June for site layout and inspection, meetings with the community and also spent two days on the lake with Chief Jumbo, reviewing outpost locations and potential guest experiences. The business plan was completed in August and a review with leadership is planned in the near future.
Winter 2018 – The team plan to have the site visit and work completed by the end of March and will follow-up with a detailed business plan for the project once the community reviews and approves the feasibility and concept plan.
